Hi all, I am seeking some one with a great deal of experience with tuning delco ecu's to teach a small group of people on our dyno the process of data logging, interpretation of that data, creating and burning that info to a chip, realtime tuning, etc...
We have our own dyno, various realtime ecu's, chip burning gear, software and laptops, training rooms, vehicles, etc. This would be a paid gig of course, please pm me if you are interested,
Cheers, Gareth.

This topic seems to have a bit of interest, surely someone out there would be up for this? Maybe you could offer regular classes, could be a great source of income for someone...

If we where to use my shop it would be Bacchus Marsh, Vic. We carry out a lot of training and are well set up to train up to 12 people at a time, I have a back ground in training and would assist in delivery but not the knowledge on this topic, I get asked about this a lot. If someone out there has the skills but is holding back because they aren't comfy with public speaking, don't stress, there is a way, drop me a PM.

I train new operators of CNC cutters/plotters by trade so I have bit of training experience. I'm not shy in public.

I have shit all experience outside of 808 though.

Yeah, been looking at this, a list of issues and common headaches would help create a training course that covers everything. So i'll kick it off now with my own experience, anybody else please add to this. Some of the below issues have cost me tens of hours trying to nut out, making my experience frustrating.

- connection problems (tunerpro to nvram in our vt)

- understanding of abbreviations (yes I know there is a list, but hard to learn fast when you have to refer back to the list to work out what is being talked about)

- understanding the importance of ensuring that what you're trying to tune is in good working order (one job had a fucked ecu, misswired iat, no fault light, faulty tps and was a cluster fuck to work out)

- understanding what tables do what and how tables can effect each other

- burning of chips (my success rate is very low, I have given up trying to understand what is going wrong)

- maf tuning (I have read every book and online guide on this, i still can't get my head around it)

Hp tuners have some online tuning guides, one of them states that its a good idea to find a mentor thats close to you to help, I learnt more in one session with vlad than I had in a year, and learnt more in ten minutes with the1 than ever!!!....

Please nobody take offence to this, there are some wonderful guides on here that have helped me heaps, a lot of what is talked about assumes you know what is being talked about, maybe I could work on another guide thats called 'stuff you need to know before you tune' or 'a complete dumb ass beginners guide to tuning' any thoughts would be appreciated.

yeh i agree, ive had issues myself pointing people who want answers to the right place, our FAQ button is about it atm, it's a hard task to gather that kind of data in one place and make it easy. I think with youtube etc short videos are the easiest. I find practical rather than text myself is easier.
