we have manged to get 720 out of it were hoping on more. wanted to run about 20 PSI, could only manage 15 and after about 5500 rpm boost starts to die off. think the turbo is too small. we bought the turbo as a GT4594R but looking at the specs it is only a GT4094R.
but still not too sure haven't had that much experience with turbo's.

were also running the ignition of a northstar engine, that is coil packs like the v6 commodore ones but for a v8
so far they are working a treat.

was tuning last night and at the end of the run the ecu died and held the injectors open constantly.
i know this is a common problem mwith theese ecu's, and i do have a spare but does anyone know how to repair them?

nice figures man.yeah it does happen a bit with them i think the transistor dies and shorts open shouldnt be hard to find which goes to the injector pin on the ecu.shame about the turbo running out of flow least its as easy as bolting on a bigger one :D dyno windows should now give you an idea on what sort of cfm you are sucking in use that convert it to Lb/min and use a turbo compressor map to see where you are at and what size to get. i have maps for heaps of turbo's just they are at home

also the higher the boost pressure normally they will allow way more flow look at a compressor map left side is boost pressure 2.0 is 14.7psi and cfm or lb/min across the bottom raise pressure you will move into different efficiency areas of the map you may have just dropped out of the zone or you may have just maxed it alltogether

torque was about 700ft/lb at about 4500rpm

also when the boost was dropping off the EGT's were starting to get a bit high

should be able to go 1000hp with the right turbo on 355 theres a few stock stroke 304's with forged pistons and good rods on stock crank pulling 1000hp reliable
