well I know for certain that HP Tuners can edit because I did plenty of changes to my 2006 VZ SV6 Ute .... you can't change the 5 speed auto but you can change the 4 speed auto and the 190kw and 175kw motors are both editable.
as far as how he does it, it needs to pay the $600 or so to buy one of the products

I think HP Tuners can edit some of the 5spd settings now in the latest beta but I personally haven't read one out since they did the update.
Not sure who in NZ has HP Tuners....
