Deka 60's Injector Values

Post by Dylan »

Im tuning a 4race car for a mate and getting everything set up before we hire a track to tune it properly.
We've fitted Siemens Deka 60. VR V6 on methanol running12P.

I've found different values on Google searches none from Siemens though.
I found some values on here so I went with them.
Hopefully someone has some genuine data. Every chance I have the correct figures and just plainly don't know what im doing!

The car idles pretty crook so i set the idle very rich. It then idled reasonable but after about 1 minute it dies with a cough.
It runs better with stock injector values. I had a play with single fire mode at idle with some values I found on here from VL400 but made it slightly worse.

All help appreciated. They are a common injector so maybe someone has some proven values.
Below is a shot of the values im using.

Running the deka 60 on my l67 on e 85.this voltage vs offset 4.8-3.89.6.4-3.62.8.0-3.11.9.6-2.24.11.2-1.40.12.8-1.01.14.4-0.70.16-0.52.injector rate .090 second/gram that's kalmaker sp3.if it's bpc with the 3.8v6 its.057.you won't need to use single fire mode at idle.just zero all the msec/msec table out.ive tuned with wideband and driven many kms with above values good economy for e85 idles and runs well pressure reg is factory l67 3.5 bar.i assume you know you need about 2 times methanol over pump gas with mine I run full open loop tune noo2 sensor dropped all the afr to suit and decreased cranking fuel.cheers darren

no worries let us know how it goes.do you mind if you tell me a bit about the engine if na forced induction etc.use to run a vp v6 engine with a whipple 1600a supercharger strapped to the side. only modded heads and head gaskets.in the end running 15 psi boost no intercooler on e85 with a 260000 km original bottom end the blower locked up before the engine gave way lol.

Sounds like your on the right track with injector rate and afr's.just put those offset values in and that should get you in the ballpark.methanol cranking and cold engine running might take a bit to get right doesn't vapourise well when cold.do you run full open loop no o2 sensor.

Yeah no O2 or knock sensors 6k rev limit. Only had one look at it cold with tgese injectors.
Cranking was pretty good but ran ordinary. Only early days still. Not sure if richer or leaner cold will help.
Try each and see i guess. Cars out of town so hard to access when i want to.

Yeah mate.ive done an l67 conversion into the vp about 2 years ago.had the kalmaker sp3 rt ecu and 2 bar map setup since 2003 running on old setup vp engine with the whipple.just running same set up on l67.its a built l67.forged pistons forged rods steel crank balance shaft removed double row cam chain and gears mace ported heads with 105 springs crow cam yellow terra full roller rockers yellow terra snout with 67mm pulley on standard supercharger no intercooler that's why I'm running e85 use to reply on the kalmaker forum often.anyways Dylan let us know how you go with the speedway car.

Been doing some more Google searches. The settings I posted up top I seen on here and they match up with the values on the Siemens website. There's a few places quoting same as I posted some have different.

Where did you get your data from? I actually ran this engine on stock injector values first up and it ran better than with what I posted. I compared your figures against stock and they are closer to stock than what Siemens give you.
Which makes me think it should be a lot better.
