V6 piston choices?
Whats the choices out there for high comp non forged VN-VR pistons?
I can't find any figures on aftermarket pistons on what CR they typically achieve. I dont even know what the standard factory ones have for disk CC to even estimate on.
Im looking at 10:1 as a ballpark.
do hypatec do any?

there would give 11.6:1 based on a calculator I used.
damn!

Re: V6 piston choices?
yeah I've ccéd VN/VR pistons and came up with the same results!
I know hypatec do a few options for them, one of them being flat tops, but I am not sure how much that will increase it, compression height of 35.5mm

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: V6 piston choices?
the hypatec flat top I worked out to be 11.6:1
bit too much for what i need.
there is mahle motor sport pistons with similar 9.5-9.8:1 but are 650 bucks and are fully forged, probably low silicon alloy which is not what I want, certainly not for that price lol.

Re: V6 piston choices?
I dont want too big, most of my driving is cruise @ 1800-2100rpm but just want more punch from low rpm to redline. certainly dont want to rev past 5500, 6k max.
so cam will be mild but dont know yet. I want to get this simulation program and run a few of the off the shelf cams to see what does what and then play with custom cams to suit the engine.
basically im going to build the block 1st and then cam last, tailored to the rest of the engine.

Put some 4:11's in the back with a big cam and high comp, youl love it
