Hey guys need a tip on what table i need to be looking at, when I step on the throttle the spark will drop down to 3 or 4 degrees and then creap back up to desired. You can feel the car pickup when the spark gets back to a reasonable level, it just feels real soft before that.
I remember reading about it somewhere awhile ago but just cant seem to find it. now
Pic shows what im talking about

By desired you mean what is in the spark table? Its normally burst knock retard, but you mentioned it was disabled in another thread.
Tip in bump spark if its a manual? But that is generally quick.

Yep i mean whats in the stark table less any intake temp and coolant corrections.
Some times its very noticeable and sometimes it not
Burst knock is set to 151 degrees C as i talked about in the other thread. I did think it might be burst knock that's why i asked if it was possibly not correct.
I didn't think about Tip in and yeah its a manual car. Those items are not defined in the flash PCM from what i can see, and i don't think i have the skills to find them.

are your low and high spark tables the same? is airtemp and coolant stable while in the affected area? No knock being registered?

No there is a gap between the spark tables. does this matter?
Air temp is the Aqua line in the lower monitor and its around the 80 degrees at that point in the log, coolant is the top monitor and is in red sitting around 84 degrees its only varys about 3 degrees C
No knock, they are set to be displayed in the top monitor.
can post a better if it helps.

Hm just checked the low spark table and at that point it has about 9 degrees C in the cell so by the time it takes the IAT into account the 4 degrees would be about right.
So it might drop to the low table on the initial throttle hit then go back to the high table after 1 sec or so as the spark numbers in that shot just after the 8.50 mark are back in the teens which is above the numbers in the low spark table

yeh Holden fiddled with the adaptive spark alot on various models, so can't say what the current settings will be if it isn't defined in the xdf. They settings for spark gap and cylinder airflow and knock degrees for when to move between high and low tables.
