Its been said there are aurora around all of vic and into NSW as far as newcastle.

Anyone see any? been heaps of photos from last night and the activity is still going right now, stronger than yesterday.

Whats strange is I saw nothing from home and nothing on the way to the airport this morning. Its completely overcast here atm.

let me know if anyone else sees anything as its almost a once in a life time occurrence for higher latitude that us aussies live in.

The activity is very high and highest I have seen in many many years, so it might be the only chance since 1989 where the last time they were visible in my area.

yeah, mainstream media are no good at things that are actually useful. No mention on mainstream at all, anywhere.

Anyway, a 2nd CME looks to be have been direct hit of earth, on Wednesday (assuming American Wednesday, in the past!) we should see another geomagnetic storm. So we could be in for another lot.

lol, that would be a first. There was nothing on the radio though or TV as far as Im aware.

anyway, another lot is said to to hit tomorrow, and even little bit tonight for TAS, but main storm is forecast 10am tomorrow and should be visible that night. there is give or take up to 6hrs, depending on the speed of the plasma coming towards us. Can vary anywhere from 400 to over 1000km/s
