Anyone used xr6 turbo injectors, will the l67 tune support these with little to no
Setting changing?
Also any tips for a turbo drain without removing the sump? I know drilling and etc,
Maybe the sump is thick enough to tap.
Suggestions?
Cheers

they are the same as regular xr6 injectors, only they run them at 4.5bar to get around 26-28lb flow from memory. far from the 36lb flow of l67 injectors. you will need to at least change the injector flow rate if you want to use them.
there isnt any proper way I know of to do the sump drain without removing the sump. one bloke I know was making a turboed paddock basher and didnt want to take the (steel) sump off, so sent a chisel through the sump, then welded the drain into that hole, as that is the only way to split the metal and not put filings in the sump. I wouldnt do it on a road car though lol.

Get siemens deka 60 lb and stop messing about with cheap junk
Some people tap an oil drain on car but for me a sump off job is easy enough on a V6 unless you have one in a van or something wacky. I always remove the sump. Just not worth the 1% chance of engine failure tbh

My first turboed car back in the late 80's was street driven daily and had a steel sump and this is exactly how my mechanic created the turbo drain to the sump, and he was one of the smartest car men in the country, so if it's done right it shouldn't be a problem.

yeah there's no easy way, and being a L67 it would have an alloy sump too ....
you could drill and tap the hole, then drain the oil and hope all the shaving come out, could even pour something into the sump like petrol or degreaser to wash it out a bit, but its a risk!
also I've heard of people welding on the sump in place and the internal vapours in the motor igniting, also not worth the risk!

Sump off and on is about a 45 min job in VN-VY so just not worth any risk of turning a bearing I reckon. Christmas tree drill, tap and lots of grease is what some do but much less labour for sump removal than engine swap is how I look at it

there are also 'no weld' fittings where you 'punch' a hole into the sump (ok if steel) and then screw a fitting together thru the hole with a grub screw which stops it from coming undone.
