I am doing a getrag vs conversion to my t5 vr.I have all the original wiring on the newer engine so the computer wiring will be ok but the low bcm that I have will need a few mods to get it to fly using my old vr body loom...just wondered if anybody had the pinouts/wiring diagram for the vs bcm

What's the advantage of going to a getrag over T5?

Not sure but they carried over to later vt/x models but the dual mass flywheel has some downsides and the donut style coupling is a little foreign to me but it came with the vs engine I bought with all the wiring /computer pedals bcm etc so as a upgrade ill go with it and get it going with some wiring help from this forum and Ill give you my opinion but my old t5 is there if it doesnt work out.
bit different tailshaft setup from a t5 and the open style 2 wire speed sensor

from what i've experienced with the rubber uni joint they work fine, I did over 250,000kms in my VZ ute, a lot of it towing car on trailer and I never had an issue with it!!

I'd love to see a camera under a car on take off though to see what it does to it :)

The Getrag is supposed to be a more refined transmission unfortunately it's no stronger than the T5. It has slightly different ratios too.

No problems with the coupling, they are standard on all later model Commodores.

I killed the rubber coupling as with everything if you abuse it they fail
