I'm pretty sure that a commodore centre will fit the gemini housing. The problem is that the axles are too long and will still require shortening and hence machining.

still better than machining down to 25 spline size.
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.

Gemini is a Salisbury, not the same as borgie .... early commodore and uc torana are the same diff ... there are kits around that's a billet LSD and 28 spline axles, but not cheap!

yeah vlad you are right about them being weak at the machined down part the engineer did explain it to me, the only reason I used 25 spline mini spool is cause I had it laying around spare, it was in my EFI 5 litre vk Calais that was upgraded to 28 spline stuff with 3:4:5s and because it was a prototype thing I wanted to make sure it worked first but 28 spline is def in the future mods list, engineer does axles for $120 each now so $240 a pair isn't to bad, and yeah like holden202 said the Gemini was small Salisbury which was found in early commos and some toranas and are as rare as rocking horse shit and because I was looking to do on the cheap that's what I came up with, would b lovely to have the trutrac centre and 31's but like 202 said that aint cheap, the car is a daily (when I got a license) and is given a hard time every weekend without fail, it prob drives on an angle more then it drives straight to b honest haha so its gonna break here and there ocassionally

Another way to help reduce the chance of breaking as quick, is to machine the the axle down to the same size as the the splined area between the splines & the bearing, this will allow the axle to twist over it's entire length & not concentrate the twist at one point, as vlad101 has already stated.
