Just got myself a glimps of yours on ya website that's under construction, JEALOUS some, yes I am, that thing not only looks sweet must get up dance man, I seen on an ep of grunt files years ago a elderly lady had a gem wagon with 202 and triples etc, 11.70's or something stupid, let alone injection turbo setup on one, v6 slotted in reasonably ok but couldn't imagine straight 6 would leave much room for a spanner lol

yeah that car was about the only one I was able to find of a 202 in a Gemini before I did mine, most people from what I've heard used to have the motor forward more so you didn't have to change the tunnel/firewall and gearbox/tailshaft, then just cut the front out and have the radiator forwards, but I had rusted out floors anyways and wanted it back for better weight distribution which also means I have been able to fit a big radiator in without too much cutting! anyways i'll stop hijacking your thread :)

on the subject of yours though, I assume you've just had the security removed from the tune to allow it to run in the Gemini ?

Thought id throw a little info and pics of the diff while its apart

Ive used standard gemini diff but after about about half a dozen snapped axles had to try something on the cheap to strengthen it, so on the phone to engineer friend and put passed him using a borgwarner mini spool inside gimini centre and get commo axles machined down and resplined to suit

I reckon those axles could break at the machined down part since the twisting will now concentrate on the thinnest part. Also the stock commodore axles have rolled splines not machined ones which are strong as it effectively forges the splines.

Was there a reason why you couldn't have used 28 spline center or spool? Oh yeah and spool would add to the stress of the axle. I've seen plenty 28 spline break from the spool alone in stock cars due to the twisting in opposite directions during turning.

If it was me, I'd get a trutrac center with axles made up for it in 28 or 31 size
