Hi I was wanting some help I have a 1990 VN Commodore Ute that was Automatic that I have upgraded with a 5 litre 98 VT Motor with a aftermarket Airflow Research side mount supercharger along with ta 6 speed Manual ,I brought the Blower and the larger Injectors 2nd hand along with the 6 speed and were out of a VR Sedan the guy also gave me the upgraded Torque Performance Memcal Chip. I have pulled the Computer out of the VN and it appears to look the same size and same amount of pins for the chip ...My question is will this work in the VN Computer or will it fry it Any help on this matter would be appreciated ,cheers

If it was a manual ecu he was running it would be ok but if it was an auto it wouldn't be compatible.
Both memcals look the same. Only way to tell for sure is to read the memcal in a burner. Someone could read it for you and then copy it all to a tune suitabe for your vn ecu.

Hi yeah it was tuned with the 6 speed in it so should be suited ,My problem was that I munted the little clips that slide into the fitment block for the MEMCAL ...can these be brought ?or do I have to get a second hand one and if so what is the trick to getting the memcal out with out stuffing the clips .cheers

Given the 6 speed is a manual trans it's no guarantee on it being manual code.
