Easiest way to get a loom through a firewall?

About to chop and resolder the loom to get it through the firewall and grommet. Do the ecu pins come out easy enough? Any tricks or tips? The loom could be a foot shorter so not totally against cutting.

generally in conversions, I use the original delco grommett. holesaw the size of the grommet, and its big enough to allow the ecu plugs through

Yeah me too. When you push them through end first they're not really much fatter (if at all) than the loom wire bundle itself.

I was thinking about it, but then I'd need to cut through 2 sheets of sound deadener and it would look a little weird. A small 22mm hole in a discrete corner will be much neater. There's no dash to hide it all behind in the back of a bug.
