Big G is using electric PS column in his Vh and the Gem also has one now, its the way to go for situations like this.

If it was a daily driver or something like that I would of kept the power steer. But going manual just made so many things easier for this car. It was lighter, gives more room in the bay, and also allowed me to reverse a passenger side manifold onto the drivers side for the cross over. If I ever charge another efi 5 litre I'll keep it all externally stock and run a rear mount turbo set up. There's just so many issues to over come trying to fit it all under the bonnet

I don't but ask Big G as he is the one who came up with it.

XC Barina column, dont have a pic handy but google has heaps. Its a fantastic upgrade to a non power steer car, also the weight of the unit is slightly less than a stock saginaw pump setup

not a fan of it in my kia. it has very little 'feedback' imho. but for a car that doesn't have it as an option eg: my xp falcon which i drive once in a million years - worthwhile.

caster angle has a tonne to do with 'feedback' newer cars tend not to have heaps of caster where as older cars do (to keep them going in a straight line) would have a big impact on the old chook tin

k. the kia is shitful, but, it is a kia big g ;) it is light and quick for what it is. more akin to a go-kart. the falcon redefines engineering. or lack thereof. also requires shelby drop.
