Post up the bin and a log once you get the wideband wired in. Also read up on setting the 0 and 5 volt scalars for the wideband.

Agree - without the converter and gears it'd be a dog.
The power curve is also very flat, within 10kW of peak between 3500-6000rpm with the old 3000rpm converter.

I've been furiously reading what I can and found some interesting stuff I can apply. Will have a play over the weekend...

Lots to gain iver a stock bin. Et the VE closer then can play with the timing. That will wake it up big time.

Agreed the factory tunes are very tame so people don't wrap em around trees etc.

Hmmm, a good converter is what my Senator needs.

Absolutely. It'll transform it.
Mine is also a lockup unit so I haven't lost out completely on driveability.

Yeah, a good 3000rpm converter would really wake it up. I just haven't come across anything here in NZ that is readily available to suit our transmissions. Lots of converters for TH350/400's etc but not the humble 4l60e.

Thinking of a cam slightly bigger than yours so even a higher stall might be the go.

Is the VQ full weight? If it is than that 12.6 is even more impressive.

The Car doesn't have A/C or a heater box, as I removed them to both clean up the engine day and put all the wiring, ign module, Crane hi-6 etc right up behind the dash. The 12.6 was run with no back seat and no pipes. The no pipes part was really just because I could. I've run it at heathcote with full pipes and the back seat in with the same MPH so it doesn't make a difference at this point. I should get it on the weighbridge just for my own interest. My VN exec v6 auto with VT Brakes, the 19's from the VQ, half a tank, a spare and some tools was 1400kg so I expect the stato would be at least 1500kg.

I didn't get a chance to touch it at all on the weekend unfortunately as I was playing amateur landscaper. Will try to get to it later this week.

psyolent - I live out south-west so you probably have seen it from time to time :)
