Carburetor on a VP V6

I am wanting to fit a 4 barrel 600 holley carburettor onto a VP V6 engine.
Engine is currently installed into a MK1 Ford escort and bolted to 5 speed.

Vehicle belongs to a customer who wants to give his engine the "oldschool" look and sound by fitting a lumpy cam.

Has any one had any experience with fitting a carburetor.

The actual fitment is not the problem, its how to make the factory ECU operate correctly in regards to running the ignition side of things.

Will i need to use the MAP sensor or TPS ?

Thanks

Why don't you stick with the injection and hide it while using the Holley as a throttle body to have the best of both worlds? Or you could go throttle body injection.

Thats definitely an option Simon. However, how will the factory ECU perform with a very lumpy cam ?
At least with running the carburetor and ditching the injection the fuel side of things will be sorted in regards to the camshaft change.

I do not know alot or much about "who were what" in regards to modifying the ecu to work with the lumpy cam.

Do i even need to do anything to the factory ecu when i change the cam ?

It's easy. Just tune the efi. A lot better than a carby could ever hope to do.

A couple of links for you to read, they may have answers to the questions you are asking and will ask in the future.

I think tbere might be an intake from GM that could suit. Holden202T on here had a carby V6 he was playing with.

No there isn't a manifold for those engines with carby. 202's engine predates even the ln3 and are a totally different beast. No compatibility at all.

Nope. Totally different flange pattern.
