Re: vr v8 turbo base tune
replaced the spark plugs, checked and also changed the map sensors. gapped the plugs to 0.9. even swapped the wideband around to the narrow band location. made no difference. its running lean burning my eyes and nose. at idle the rev's are racing up than falling back down, using the throttle and it seems to rev ok its just at idle, up down up down. wideband reading on both the gauge and in tunerpro are 20:1 still

Re: vr v8 turbo base tune
Increase the VE by heaps if the wideband doesn't change then the injectors may not be so large and need a new injector rate.
Pick an easy spark plug now for a photo after that run. Also no wideband reading in that log for me?

There should be a Wideband reading in the log. It sits at 10:1 for just a few seconds but then the heater warms up and it jumps straight to 20:1

This is one of the new plugs after starting, logging and letting it run for a bit.
Re: vr v8 turbo base tune
Yeah to lean. Always good to see a plug as a bit of reassurance.

Re: vr v8 turbo base tune
I played with the ve table and the injector it's still not changing anything. After setting the inject from 0.035 to 0.045 though it started idling better to more like what I'd expect but afr's are still at 20:1, although giving it some throttle at 0.045 and the afr's go 7:1

Might try and change the ignition leads and see if it makes a difference.

Re: vr v8 turbo base tune
Possibly the ignition module? Maybe it's time to take it in and have the seq ignition set up fitted and tuned
Re: vr v8 turbo base tune
Put the old injectors and tune back in that'll discount the new injectors that way, if only the turbo is new.
That wasn't a huge change to the injector rate those plugs were definitely lean.
Hook up in RT even and creep up on the injector rate and see if it starts to fuel up. Maybe even watch the narrow band too.
