I was having a look at Jaymes LS1 bin/xdf in Tunerpro and looking at the scalars- VATS and wanted to know what
the 0=serial and 1=PWM mean?

Early US models use a PWM signal for VATS - a square wave signal with varying pulse widths. This is what those super cheap eBay VATS removal modules bypass.

We use a serial data stream that is coded/linked to other modules (there is a PIM for ALDL to OBDII translation).

Ahhhh was that similar to the earlier "special" box with the resistor pack to bypass the key reader/slip ring?
Thanks VL,that explains it clearly.
Cheers
