$11p flex output pinouts '424'

Hi all.

I am trying to work out a few things with my 424 running $11p.

I want to use a flex output for nitrous control so that certain criteria must be met before the nitrous is enabled.
I see $11p has one flex output available can anyone please tell me which pin-out it goes to? EDIT.... I see it is A10 is this correct?
Also I am running a VS automatic trans with the 424 ecu from a VR.
Is pin A4 used to control the converter lockup feature in the trans?

Thanks in advance

Barbs

Yes, according to the wiring diagram from "11P Overview v104.pdf" in the 11p zip, pages 16 & 18, both are correct.

Bringing up an old thread here I'm sorry.
Yesterday I was on the dyno and I tried to run the nitrous setup I have. I am using the Flex output to drive a relay controlling the NOS and fuel solenoids.
I am running 11P and used the flex output editor to setup the XDF. I have set it up with RPM on the Y axis and TPS on the X axis where at over 3000rpm and 100% TPS the output should have 100% duty cycle.
When I go back to 11P XDF the flex output flags have been set BUT the table is not populated correctly, the values are no longer 100% they are in the 30's and the X and Y axis are not populated at all. Is this correct? I am assuming it is OK or else there would not be a flex output XDF.
While doing a dyno run I simply cannot get the output to come on. I have monitored the duty cycle using the ADX and it stays at 0% no matter what.
I have followed the advanced tuning instructions but I just cant get it to work. Can anyone please give some guidance to where I may be going wrong?
I can load my BIN, and XDF tonight if required but curious to know if there are any tricks to it.

Please see attached BIN and XDF.
Can anyone here please tell me why the flex output will not come on in this tune?
So far I have managed to get 247KW at the rear wheels on E85, 4l60e trans behind an injected turbo 186 Holden motor at 20psi boost.
I'm hoping with nitrous I can crack into the 300kw range

Thanks in advance.

Pretty nice power so far, should be a beast with nos!

after you setup the flex output did you hit the option to modify the xdf in the flash tool ?

I did this after loading your cal and the axis looks right to me other than the settings in the table aren't right.

I've attached the xdf I made from it.

the other thing to keep in mind, if you only ever want it on over 3000-4000 rpm and 90% + tps then you can change the flex table like this to get more resolution.

how it works is anything above 4500rpm in the table will use the last cell in the table, so will stay on over 4500rpm....

the only reason you'd maybe want to have high revs in the table is so it turns off the NOS before you hit a rev limiter .... food for thought.

Thanks for that 202.

Ill have a play around with that XDF tonight after work.
The reason for the odd figures in the tables are I was trying to test the output without solenoids connected just a test lamp etc.
I did select modify XDF but when I loaded the BIN again no changes on actual operation of the output.
When I open the flex table with the 11p XDF should the cells be populated as per the flex output XDF or can I ignore those values and only be concerned that the flex output XDF and values within are correct?

As for the resolution setup that is a great idea. I'll be using that for sure anything over 95% TPS would be great..

Thanks again bud

yeah I believe there is a separate flex xdf for that very reason, use the flex xdf to set/change the table, then use the normal xdf for all the rest of the tune.

The flex XDF has the wrong calc in it, should be X / 2.56 not X. So either change that or set the flex table in the flex XDF to 255 for the cells you want 100% on.

Thanks VL. I had a feeling that was the case. Ill just put the values to 255 as suggested and go from there.

Ive fixed the 11P zip too, so you can download that again to get the updated flex XDF.
