It's not the size of the dent it's what made it. Ouch a big one indeed.

It's amazing the damage that can happen in a matter of a few sec.
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.

VS with the classic ecoknock engine.

All bearings fucked and worn to the copper on the main ones, big ends are pitted and full of debris.

No. 6 completely spun. This one is going to the scrap metal, a new replacement VX engine is being prep'd. The early ecotec have some chronic oil starvation issues due to that miss-drilling of the oil galleries being blocked by the cam bearings. It's supposedly fixed in the later engines around VX and VY but that's just word on the street so no way of telling for sure unless you cut up a heap of engine from all years and compare but from what I have seen it seems correct as I hardly ever see the later engine do this, but VS it was a given pretty much.
