Hey guys!

I've got a 1982 mazda 323 e5 rally car. I'm wanting to convert to Delco with a crank trigger and individual coils, probably ls coils.

I am currently running a Haltech f9 fuel only ecu.

Just wondering if someone could help me with the bits I need to buy! I looked it all up awhile ago and there was a ignition control module available for crank trigger, but I cannot find it now!!
All I currently have is the 808 ecu in standard v6 format.
I know there is quite a few things I need to buy, but I can't seem to find everything so I thought I would post here first!

Thanks so much!

You can run a d1998a ignition module with the 808 for coilpacks on a 4 cyl. Need to notch the balancer and set up a crank trigger there. There is a bellett gt on this site with that configuration and there is a thread with the pattern you need on the crank.

Thank you! I'll do some digging!

So using the d1998a means I will not have to use vl400s ignition module?

Yep. Its not flexible - you'll need to run regular commodore coilpacks (not ls1 style) and have only 1 crank trigger option but it will probably do what you need. The module is usually also a us import and the quality can be sketchy with the after market ones o ebay so its worth getting 2 or 3 at the same time. Chances are 1 might be doa, and then you'll still have a good one and one you can swap in if you are testing at the track.

If you do want more flexability for input and output options, programmable dwell etc then vl400s module is still here: https://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewt ... =11&t=2913

For a 4cyl you'll need a D1927A module, not D1998A.
They take the same coils as the 3.8 commodores, so no need to buy those from the states too.
