Hi guys,

Im wonderimg if any perth tuners can help me, i jave a WB ute with a1991 L98/350tpi in it, the passkey (Vats/TDM) is locked out and im not having any luck with the old resistor bypass method.

Can vats be turned off on the ecm or do i need a bypass module ($120 off eBay)?

If it can be tirned off on the ecm is anyone able to rewrite the eprom for me? Ill remove it and get all the details for you, and pay you of course

Cheers

Can possibly help you out on disabling it if you can get some details on the memcal code.

Cheers. Pretty sure its a '730 ecm, will get the memcal code tonight. Is it possible to do the nvram swap on it and tune with Tunerpro? Just looking for options for future tuning. Pretty sure i have a spare ecm for it too.

Cheers for the info Delcowizzid and Cheers VL400 for rewriting the memcal. It was a mission but i got it going (had to pull the dash out chasing wiring and found an old immobiliser up behind the cluster) but it starts, runs and dries now. Took it to busselton on the weekend for a run. Goes great, just need to replace leads, plugs etc as it stumbles when you really get up it.. shift kit it great but... snap ya neck on the 1-2 shift then holds second til 75-80 k's but still does 2300rpm at 110 in 4th.
