100 Series Toyota non common rail performance

My father has a 2004 100series 4.2L Landcruiser with 5 speed auto non common rail diesel.
I have searched high & low for options to remap the controller & found nothing & even if I do get a dump file (supposedly possible if I get an original Toyota CUW file... what is is & where do I get it??) but may not be much to control even if I get it?
There's patch in controllers & usual $$$$ stuff from dimsport & the likes that I've tried other same vehicles fitted with it but not worth the $2,000 or so even if you have the drivers to adapt them for the response/non response they made.
If anyone has any other options or ideas let me know, I did notice someone had just plumbed a manual tap in to boost control flapper like I did on my VL turbo many moons ago & think thats going to be quickest & easiest option but more fuel control on the cheap would be good too.
