might stop being lazy and lock the baseplate instead of just disconnecting vac advance
that might stop some jitter. I should of done it when I did mechanical advance :shh: :shh:

still having charge problems, might be time for a new battery and alt upgrade
also chatting to a guy about getting it on a dyno for a bit to make sure I'm not completely plucking it up

dyno is a must for doing spark accurately, well worth it.

Old mate seem to think differently, and is reluctant to touch it as he feels it will be to much work for a very little gain. Said I would be struggling to do any damage if I'm not dialing crazy numbers.

Yet a gemini but that tunes on the mainland said to be very careful as I will easily break rings

Only other option I have local will probably do it but going to need deep pockets

I'd recommend the update to a pulsar alternator with built in reg. Its not a hard conversion and the gemi alts are old and nearly all dead. I have about 3 dead ones and no live ones at home, and did the pulsar alt conversion on the new track car after I got it and found the stock distributor was already dead.

The EFI conversion will provide gains, but not epic gains (until you stick a snail on it, 2 bar map and larger injectors). But will provide great reliability gains.

Wasn't looking for big gains going EFI
But 80% of any gain I will see will come From timing.
He was more referring to dyno vs seat of pants tuning.

And the pulsar alt was the plan just haven't had time for a wreckers run, not till this arvo

Well charge problems sorted and its a new car
Runs like a pig when cold but I haven't even played with any of that as yet.
Made the trip to and from work today ok still yet to look at logs. The few times I glanced over at it on the way to work, all looked good
