Vs level3 fuel cal issue
Vs level3 fuel cal issue
I need some help from some tech savvy guys.
What i need to do is try to trick this signal going to my cluster so i can get my fuel usage readings correct, as i cant get the cal in the cluster low enough for the larger 440cc injectors

Re: Vs level3 fuel cal issue
There is a fine cal in the dash I've sent it before.
Re: Vs level3 fuel cal issue
Tried it. I cant get it low enough for the bigger injectors
Re: Vs level3 fuel cal issue
Have you changed the engine calibration to suit?
Re: Vs level3 fuel cal issue
use these in the xdf
Trip Computer - Amount of Fuel for 1/512 DU
Trip Computer - Litre/Hr INST Fuel Rate CAL

Re: Vs level3 fuel cal issue
Forgot to mention im using a haltech gm platinum
Re: Vs level3 fuel cal issue
sounds like you've shafted yourself then. It's serial data from ECU to Cluster, you'd have to replicate the 8192 message.
Re: Vs level3 fuel cal issue
Do u know what kind of signal it is. Could i just fit a jaycar corrector to change the signal
Re: Vs level3 fuel cal issue
your ecu will not have that data in the first place. it's nothing to do with speed signal. If you want the level 3 data to work you'l need the factory ecu.

Re: Vs level3 fuel cal issue
VS fuel usage signal is a PWM signal, not 8192 baud data. VT was the first to use 8192 baud data for the trip computer.
The PCM accumulates the inj PW and outputs them in a PWM signal according to the calibration figure above that the1 noted, it specifies the amount of fuel per bit in teh PWM signal.
