I’ve got a vn with a 304 out of a vr and I’m using the vr loom and computer and the vn doesn’t start due to vats I’m guessing and would like to know what I’d need to delete vats off the computer thanks

Fit the VN wiring and compute, or is it a VR auto trans?

It’s a vr auto and I don’t have a vn v8 loom and computer for it

Just need a memcal without vats active

What’s involved in disabling vats and what would I need to do it and Cheers fallas for the help

Need a chip burner an eprom eraser and an adaptor to fit the memcal in the programmer or one of us can probably do it for you where you located

VR wiring won't fit a VN. You've made this pretty hard on yourself.
Have another trans you can use?

I didn’t put the vr loom and box in the car was in it when I brought it and I found a vs memcal with vats removed on eBay would that still work being vs and I’m in sale Victoria mate

The memcal is the easy part providing the wiring has been sorted as a VR loom is far from plug and play into a VN. If you want a VATS off memcal PM me that's easy fixed and may get you going.

Doing something similar to this with vp ute in month or so.

vats disabled
festy speedo corrector (speedo signal supposedly different vs to vp)

Engine harness plug needs to be modified & shortened...looks like on vs it goes across firewall to driver's side(?) where as vn/p have it near ecu up under dash & probably needs new plug or repinning.
