HI, Trying to get my hands on a genuine GMH dealer workshop manual for a VS.

Not a Gregory or Haynes but a genuine GMH workshop manual used at their dealerships.

If anyone has one or knows where I could find one please let me know.

You dont want to know how I got this........

I cannot just give it away either. but I do have it running on a VM....

What part are you after I will see what I can do. I have it only to support the old forums i was part of with a mates Statesman. He had a VS Series 3 and I had a VQ series 2. Came in handy a lot actually. even down to part numbers. So wish I could get this for my VE SS. The crappy pdf copy I have for it while is great resource is a pain to navigate.

cheers

there's 2 books you want

ISBN 0868361305 VR Service Manual Volume 1
Which has all the body etc

ISBN 0868361771 VS Series Service Manual Supplement Volume 1
Which has the rest of the changes to VS engine/trans etc over the VR series.

Both books you used to be able to publicly purchase at the https://www.computeroutpost.com.au/ but they seem no longer available, there's a few floating around from time to time on ebay.

Alternatively you can get the Holden Workshop manual CD which only works on windows XP from memory, i have it here, contains the same stuff, you used to be able to purchase it over the counter from the holden parts counter back in the day.

Hi the1 thanks for the info.

I'd happily go anywhere to buy the CD but it seems impossible to find.

If you or anyone else wants to sell a copy please let me know.

Cheers

How the hell did you get your hands on a copy. My copy was dealer supplied and was locked to the HDD guid from memory, almost impossible to copy......

You are right it only runs on XP.

they used to be sitting on the dealer parts counter for sale. They never had the books but you could buy any of them through that website. So as far as i was aware it's open to public.

I think you guys are talking about different things. I know there was something they called epc or partfinder or microcat which was windows 16 bit, then windows 32 bit then replaced by tis2000 and then turned in to tis2web (and was then opened to the public by subscription). The partfinder was locked to the dealer pc, and so was tis2000 by dongle but eventually tis2web was opened up for access by subscription.

This is just talking about the workshop manuals which were available for dealerships and workshops to buy from the start.
