Hey guys having a bit of drama an already killed 2 ecus.....


Ive done a l67 top end swap and im trying to flash a l67 tune onto my l36 ecu

Both are vx bin files

Whats the best way to do this?

Im using flash tool and clicking write bin

You can't flash an l67 tune into flash ecus they are for memcal based ecus.you need to suck out and tune the original bin from the ecu or swap to the vx enhanced flash ecu code by the1 to suit vx

i tried flashing using VX_V6_SC_$A5K_Enhanced_v1.3f.zip
not sure if thats right

am i able to copy the l67 info onto my ecu?

That's for l67 memcal based ecus.it will just brick your pcm

or is my best option to tune mine

download/file.php?id=13708 is vx flash ecu .you will need to either just start tuning from scratch or copy some stuff from the l67 tune over to the vx flash based code or see if there's any user submitted tunes for vx flash ecu in the custom tune thread

so what i just download needs to be tuned them written onto my ecu?

also if i find a submitted tune will that be ok to flash or is that to copy some stuff off?

If you want the L67 tune to run you need to change PCM to memcal based. These have service number ending 396.

Ideally a top swap requires a re-tune, but this should be a good starting point.

so if i get a ecu with them numbers a stock l67 bin can be flashed onto it?

such as the enhanced one i already have?
