also, where does A75 come from? there are only 64 pins in each plug:

you have right exhaust and left exhaust backwards. to be clearer..

driver side exh = A20
Driver side intake = A4
pass side exh = A36
Pass side exh = A53
so assuming you mean "right" = Drivers side then both drivers side cam sensors are in the correct pins. only the passenger side sensors appear to be going to the wrong pins on the computer. do you have a 2nd loom there to check against?
yes right = drivers

yes right exhaust and left exhaust backwards and left intake going a75(weird) I will double check a75 cause there is none was getting late and will correct that a75. the thing is this loom looked untouched even had the factory tape ect so I don't know why pins are wrong.

I have another loom I will check it out tonight and post back results

Thanks for helping me Jayme lol pin 75 must have made me look like an idiot lol

Hi Guy's

Another thing to rule out. The engine and loom was out of an auto and my car is a manual are they different in some way? or same (won't matter) when I did the engine swap it had the same plug to plugin manual gearbox wiring.

Them pictures make it much easier  . after triple checking

127 right exhaust. should be a36 is a20
128 left exhaust. should be a20 is a36
129 left intake. should be a53 is a53
130 right intake. should be a4 is a4

so right&left exhaust is wrong.

I also checked the other loom it is the same as above. but remember this is not the original motor or loom either.
the original loom/engine did not come with the car when I got it.

Hi Guy's back again

after checking second loom and pin were the same, I thought what there can't be 2 engine looms wired wrong! :wtf:

My ute is an 07 the engine and loom are 05

then I stumbled across this, what is this about they changed the looms?

information from http://australiancar.reviews/holden_LE0.php

anyone got the pin out to the loom they mention 2006 changed?

What are the exact pinouts you want? Ill jump on and pull them down for you.

So.. ECU for LE0 on 05,06 and 07? That right?

You need to make sure you use the correct calibration for the cam sensors!!!

I've swapped engines with later or earlier cam sensor types & left original loom in either, but the correct calibration to suit those sensors!!!

Hi VX L67 Getrag :)

what do you mean "correct calibration" ? I'm willing to check but how

why would my loom pin outs be wrong for cam sensors?

I was thinking it was related to this

Image

my engine has the 3 spoke crank shaft balance so from before loom changed

maybe swap cam pins in loom to right location and digital cam sensors or buy right loom and sensors. I just need to work out why it's not running properly with cam sensors attached. I could be wrong that's why I wanted to check loom pinouts LY7 05 06 and 07 to see what is different. my engine loom and engine is 05 ute is 07

I personally think the cam sensors are a red herring... look at the real actual differences between your car and one that works.. you said the engine and harness and PCM combo was running... 2005 model. the only difference is you stuck it in a 2007 model body. by 2007 Holden was selling VE's in the sedan, so your 2007 VZ Ute probably has Body wiring loom Differences from the 2005 and may have more in common with a VE.

if you can find any simple pinouts of anything in your car, that has a 2007 plug on one end from your body, and a 2005 plug on the other side to your engine, you will probably find a difference. an earth here or there or a power pin somewhere different in the 2007 body plugs that just so happen to cause the symptom of cam sensor issues. cam sensors may just be a symptom of a weird wiring difference between the 2007 body plugs and 2005 engine plugs.
