Has anyone ever put a Kalmaker W45 tune onto a pcm nvram?
Can the tune on a current memcal be copied to a Nvram and adjustments/calibrations made through tuner pro rt?

You can put it on a pcm nvram, but you will still need to license the pcm with kalmaker to turn the injectors on. IF you have an XDF to match you can tune with tunerpro but due to the huge amount of man hours in creating XDFs only a couple of workshop series have ever had an XDF made and released and W45 is not one of them.

See here the Kalmaker section here for the Kalmaker XDFs: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=5

Your tune is already licensed to 1 particular pcm so you have to used licensed tune file on the pcm only, but as discussed delcowizzid will do it for you.

You will need programmer to write tune direct to nvram as I don't "think" you can flash a kalmaker file over aldl when it has the factory VS file currently on nvram & will most likely corrupt half way through writing & become useless without a programmer!

Anyway you now have most stuff or on the way so the community & delcowizzid"tuner" will get you going from there!

Is there a reason for kalmaker being licensed to a particular pcm? What if the pcm fails?

Yeah, $$$. Yes you must write with a programmer. Factory tunes have no write capability, and even so in place OS changes are only supported fot 11P and 12P. That specific task requires an extra level of magic.
