Hi All,

My VT V6 Calais has a very heavy power steering especially at low speeds. I believe it has the variatronic system. Should I be looking at the pump or the solenoid? Any tips appreciated.

Check the fuse under the drivers side dash first, then check the wiring running from the solenoid up to near the battery for damage, a failing pump and a faulty solenoid have the same symptoms to what your having so it could be either.
