so i cant seem to find anything about this but i have a vs v8 auto which i can gather is $12p setup. What i am wanting to do is real time tunning and wideband setup like the 11p.

Question is, is this possible how can i do it if not how can i do it another way without cutting the loom ie making patch loom.

atm current setup is 215i motor with built auto and 3500 stall with 3.9 diff i need at least tune to make it run better with current setup until i fit cam intake heads then obviously need another tune to suit but also want option for power modes in auto for normal driving and race setup

Lot's of reading in the FAQ's mate before you start, but everything you want is certainly possible mate.

Being an auto you will want 11P.

you need 11P for that ECU, it's similar but different to 12P

$12P and $11P are both similar. They both allow real time tuning and have roughly all the same features.

The difference is $12P is manual, used with '808 etc. $11P is auto, used with '424 etc

$11P has all the features to operate the auto trans. $12P doesn't (It can only be used with the VN/VP non-electronic controlled transmissions, or manual trans).

The factory code currently on the memcal (assuming it hasn't been changed before) wont be $12P or $11P. Being a vs v8 auto it will either be $83 or $58. But you will want to use $11P

12P is a direct dropin for my std VR so I would guess you will need to copy over your ve table and ignition map to get a better start. There will probably be more tables you need to change to get started but I will leave that up to the experts to advise.
