MY2009 VE 4sp auto with internal neutral switch

Just wondering if anyone has done a conversion on the VE v6 4sp auto to go away from internal neutral switch?
The code on this 1 is 9HDD with blue/brown 17pin connector which are rare & expensive because of it!
I can’t see why the extra 4 pins could be moved from connector back to the side of the box & use external switch, but wondering if any that’s done it?
