I’m looking for a application that can read the stock file and a modified read of a file that was flashed with SCT. Does anyone know of any software that can do a hex dump on a 2015 Mustang GT or .bin read?

I have a tune file that was made with SCT and they scrambled the strategy so I cannot read it out using HP Tuners. I’m trying to find a way to change the OSID but I don’t know the location in the hex file since they scrambled it. Any help would be appreciated. I’m looking for a way to read out the stock OsId and then change it with the modified read and figure out a way to fix the checksum error.

Did you want to post up the hpt read files you’ve got scrambled or not & see what can be made out, have you got the stock file before sct tune?

Our alpha version can read and edit the Tricore TC1791 2015-2017 mustangs now, we should be able to de-scramble the OSID if you send us a read. Note that it is a very early alpha version, we haven't publicised the mustang support yet.

MMCFLASH supports reading writing and checksum in .bin format . A J2534 interface is used and the module To purchase is listed the Tricore as a EMS24XX. They also support the Copperhead and various other ecu types. If you don’t want to wait for a dongle from Russia I bought a few blank ones to get in the US.

Handy to know someone else makes a product.

I've been doing this for years.

I use pcmflash and mmcflasher as well.

On the 15-17 4mb files mmcflasher puts the strategy tag at 0x200703 which is wrong as MMCflasher incorrectly swaps the last 2 banks on those ecus. You need to copy over the original Engineering ID tags as well that's from the end of the strategy tag to 0x2007FF. To make life simple I just copy over 200700 through 200800 from the original.
