carprog reads and writes the security section of the barina ecus.
kess writes the maps. you can go from 2.1 to 2.5 and back.

Hmm i wonder if i can go from a TS into a QD computer.
I tried to put a QD one in a TS car. Starts and runs fine but ended up having a couple of codes that weren't there before. I'm assuming the software is just different. TIS wont allow it but MPPS probably will.
I'll try it out. The TS one cost me a small fortune just to get out of trouble but I haven't used it yet so I might see if it works. Got 2 x QD's in the car.

id be interested to see where it's reading it from and what mode it's using, have you got something to log it doing the request?

Mode 23 reading flash doesn't get anything, ive gone through all the 21 and 1A PID requests and found nothing so it must be reading it via another mode or getting it from ram.

nah thats a bit out of my depth. if you explain to me how to do it i'll give it a go.

you'l need a splitter cable so you can connect 2 devices to the bus at the same time.

The other device needs to support kline KWP2000 for this ECU and software that can monitor the bus, for kline i use the passthru logger program with my vcxnano cable.
