VB .net app decompile

So, I have a dyno dynamics dyno and it uses a hp pda device that really never should of been used in the environment it's in.

So i've got myself a motorola mc75 which ive used before in logistics, much bigger battery, better resolution etc.

Anyway i've got the app on the new unit, got it talking to the dyno via bluetooth, but the app shows up really small on the screen because of the resolution.

Ive managed to decompile the app easily enough but, it's probably out of my wheel house.

Anyone want to earn some beer money or up for a challenge?

edit.

I've managed to find the resolution data, but the app i have doesn't seem to let you edit/save it.

Happy to give it a go mate. Likely need to make the update via hex editor.

found i was missing another plugin. so i can edit the values fine & then save to another version.

Good thing is, rather then having to fck around with the physical device i can test in a windows mobile 6.5 device emulator.

send me a message with your email Taz & i'll email you the files.

cool that your able to mod it, but if it ends up being more trouble than its worth can you turn down the screen resolution to bring it back to what the app expects?

no, its a windows mobile device so you can't configure didly squat.

the old pda has a 240x320 screen. the new one is 480x640.

I've just spoken to the owner at DD, since i feel it's probably in their own interest to get it working. rather then me re-invent the wheel.

and they are not really interested / dont want to spend time/money on it due to a possible replacement in the works.

but anyway I've managed to extract all the images with "DNSPY" from the app & have doubled their dimensions.

as i mentioned im no vb .net guru. so if someone wants to make some money i'll pay you myself.
