I presume this is describing KalMaker, because on a stock VS O/S, a read of area 2 is purely 2 (except for the last byte).

this is describing 128kb bins, but this is 64kb? so yes as you say, just the last 2 bytes. I came in to this a bit late, and should have read the whole thread.

Hmmm ... to be clear, reading the first 64K of a 128K stock VS O/S works fine except for the last byte, it doesn't get you mixed data from both banks of the memcal. But perhaps for KalMaker you do get mixed data, that I don't know.

Buy a Tl866 II programmer and read the tune out you'll need it to swap to other code anyway

The sizes sound right. Most the data is the OS. The cal is a lot smaller. Post up the 64kb file and we can probably tell you what the last 2 bytes should be and fix it.
