I bought a chip from jaycar its an AMTEL AT27C256R supposed to be eraseable
but i cant get it to erase.I do have the 9v adaptor as im aware it needs 12v to erase
is there something im missing here?

AT27C256R is a one time programmable eprom so can only use it once
If Its Got Gas Or Ass Count Me In.if it cant be fixed with a hammer you have an electrical problem

ah that sucks i think i will pay them a visit tomorrow,they were ment to be erasable
they did have uv erasable eproms but ran out of stock and got these in.
whats a good chip that you can electronically erase that you would reccomend?

Got another question im trying to read a vs v8 hsv auto memcal
and i cant read it tried selcting device 27c512 and get a bunch of 0s
seem to read the 128 vn/vp memcals ok.
