Pulling tune on DLTK chip

Just trying to pull a tune on a DLTK factory chip that has had a Kalmaker tune burnt onto it but am having issues. Kalmaker told me that I need a MemprogL to read/ write chips which would be fine for a D1245Y but the stock ECU chip is hardwired to the memcal base and gets damaged if I try to remove it.

Can someone either link me to an adaptor or explain the de soldering process for these chips please. Don't want to wreck the chip that contains the base tune

its easy when youve done more than a couple of hundred LOL takes about 2 minutes.knife under end of chip and pop it up a mm push memcal metal tabs back down with hot soldering iron.lift rear max 1mm do the same. do that a couple of times and then there will be the odd pin that just needs a tiny hit and she will pop out .poke iron into each hole to clear out solder so you can see in there good and shes ready for socketing.you will need a fine tip iron.

Ta Delco. Looks too consistent to be a soldered joint. Is it just me lack of familiarity with these babies or could it possibly be that the chip is pressed to the base/ socket tabs?
