thanks. found it online. checked my local store - they had a small bin full.

Hi all, first time poster here.

I'm having trouble finding any info relevant to these real time boards for a VY L67. I'm also unclear on what software to run and how that software would vary to something like Kalmaker.

Any help for a newbie would be tops

VY Is a flashed based PCM, so these realtime boards are not suitable. There is an XDF for offline editing of VY bins in tunerpro thanks to micks efforts, but at the moment you'll have to go kalmaker workshop for realtime. having said that, it is a valid, even good method of tuning to take the car for a drive and collect logs, then figuring out cal changes in excel, and then edit the bin in TP offline. The missing piece to do this at the moment though is the ability to upload/download bins over ALDL, which is in development.

VX and VY supercharged uses an ecu just like the VT does still has a memcal so its a little easier no reflashing just standard old tune and burn eproms

Any way you go about it you will have to get an eprom burner (the willem seems popular and there is a wealth of knowledge in this forum).

There are really three options 1) Reprogram the EPROM in your original memcal, you will also need a UV eraser 2) for more convenience convert your memcal to an EEPROM so you dont need to UV erase anything or 3) can buy an NVRAM board and keep your original memcal intact and as a backup.
