Had a spare moment this evening.

Was a real pain to drill. First attempt turned into a banana...

I'll test fit tomorrow and if it looks good I'll make a few more.

Probably the best it's been in a while anyway.

maybe make a template out of steel that you can clamp the copper down to and then drill ?

Believe it or not but that is actually steel, it's just a really bad picture. For some reason the lighting at the asylum seems really odd/dim atm.

If I had the time I would possibly make a die of some sort with 2 holes and punch them out but simply don't the materials or time at the asylum these days. We made that by clamping to a piece of 4x2 and drilling it out in small steps.

Now to make a few more.

That's interesting. I set my LS lifters to the factory spec of 2.09mm or 82 thou. But real LS7 lifters might be different? Most marketed as LS7 lifters aren't actual LS7 lifters but the regular LS lifters.

Got the VT running today. Shimming the rockers has quietened it down some, I think I need to do the drivers side as well. Took it for a spin. It's gutless and feels like an ignition miss at low rpm and moderate load. Trans is slipping too. Then I pulled the old VN out ready to strip the parts I want/need and sell or dispose off the rest.

The terrible twosome.

Haven't spent a lot of time on the VT of late but today I fixed a big vacuum leak :o and now it runs on both LPG and Petrol.

I really can't understand why anyone would use LPG these days. Anyway good to see you fixed an issue and got it running. Interested whith the push rod plates. What are they for I would think the lifter would be ables to accomodate.
