My laptop died why flashing a vx pcm bow I can't connect to it

Have you tried disconnecting the battery for a few minutes? This can sometimes recover it depending on what state it was in when the laptop died.

If its erased and failed to write it will need the flash chip removed and reprogrammed and refitted not an easy job probably easier to get a spare ecu and run with vats off
