well i am a bit stumped now, i have gone and changed the VE tables to suit some more logs that i did. Even with changed VE tables im still getting a rich reading

the same readings or is it slowly getting to where it should be ?

It’s a bit hard to explain. Still runs a little Rich at Idle (even with the VE charts changed) but as soon as I get going, it pulls like a train with good afrs!

good stuff man, tuning is the fun part of the whole process!

also just so you know, the first round of tweaking the VE table wont always get it right, but do logs and make changes from it and evetually you'll get it spot on.

Cheers mate. I think I’ve found the issue, this fuel pressure regulator is buggered and is putting fuel into the vacuum line and pissing it into cylinders 1 and 2. Makes sense because at idle this would affect afr’s but when enough airflow gets past it, it doesn’t make much of a difference

Yeah I’m glad I finally noticed it. It’s been driving me nuts the whole time and probably explains why I struggled to initially get it running because of the engine being flooded with my testing the fuel pump etc. now I gotta find $150 to buy a replacement

i had that issue once before, but i was running methanol, so the part of the manifold where the regulator went in was really cold, it was pretty each to notice when i rested my hand on the manifold!

anyways good you found the issue! im assuming if the diaphragm is split its probably also not regulating fuel pressure properly either so it should make a good improvement when its fixed.

You may have trouble finding a direct fit replacement regulator, might have to adapt another regulator.

when i converted mine to use an adjustable reg i got a speedflow -6 fitting with an olive to go inside it, was a pain in the ass, but it did work.... after that i cut the end of the rail and welded a speedflow flared end on it, might be your easiest option if you cant find a reg new.
