tuning and writing

hi everyone i'm soo new to this i'm looking into getting the equipment for myself for my own cars, i have vx commodore wagon and Ford BA falcon sedan and toyota 80 series, wanting to know what i have to get to be able to read,edit and write back to the ecu and memcals of dads VT commodores etc, he also has a v8 5.7 ls1 aswell thanks
