nvram & tuner pro need help

hello people im in desperate need of some guidance before i go and F*%# something up.
ive got a nvram for my vs eco with a decent amount of mods. runs terrible with the standard nvram tune...
first things first it was expected, of course. before i explore further do i need to save the nvram tune to my laptop before i modify it ? if so how tf do i do it cheers.
