Good evening. The problem is the following. 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe car. The HMI unit has stopped working. Constantly issues the inscription Waiting for Update Media. And that's it. Nothing canbe done. Diagnostic equipment does not see this unit. Therefore, it cannot be reprogrammed through the techline. Can anyone tell me what are the options to revive it? System GMG3G_LINUX_15.2B033

GM had a big issue with HMI modules in 2017 and 2018 trucks losing comm and shorting the high speed bus. may need to replace it

bulletin for that for 16 and 17's, might be able to save it, if the screen disappears after 80 minutes... Would need an HMI update at a minimum..

When I have dealt with this in the past, there is corrupted files in the memory which result in a permanent boot loop that prevents the HMI from accepting a reflash. Replacement is usually the recommended option that we offered since repair was not guaranteed.

I bought a unit off eBay that had the same problem. I was never able to recover it by any normal means. I just figured the flash memory was corrupt and tossed it in my spare parts bin. I didn't pay much for it to begin with.
