its not antivrius software of some type? sometimes this site gets flagged because some of the tools are packed and overzealous protection does strange things. It good to know mechanicalmatch that at&t works for you. So at this point in time it looks like it only is your phone cincinnatus. Its possible the VPN works around whatever is blocking this on the phone. Setting up a second name server is a pain, so Im leaning back towards not doing it unless we get any more reports of trouble accessing the site.

I have no antivirus on my phone. It still doesn't load for me unless I use VPN. I'll try my friends phone on same carrier and let you know what happens. Btw, he said he was using at&t wired network, not wireless. I've had site issues on wireless that don't happen on wired.

I had a similar problem couple of years ago. This forum would not load, same timeout issue. But it worked at work and on my mobile data and everyone else it worked too. Someone on here suggested I try changing my DNS server on my router and that fixed the issue. For me it was out for more than a week and I don't know if it ever resolved as I changed the DNS server and never changed it back.

I tried my friends phone on same carrier (cricket- owned by at&t) and site won't load. Tried landline internet and site loads fine, so it's a mobile issue with carrier. Will let you know when it resolves

Tried different DNS options in chrome like cloudflare, opendns, nextdns, googledns, and none load the site. Only VPN works, would love to know why.

i had my niece try her t-mobile phone and site loads, but her at&t phone site never loads. It's an at&t mobile problem somehow.

Yes, it is ...
It is an AT&T DNS Server error and can easily be fixed by just not using any AT&T DNS Servers, how varies between various phones/oses/versions ...
It will go away in time, how long depends on AT&T!

It's an Android 10 phone. This is what I tried in chrome after googling DNS server options.
Tried all but quad and clean, same result

You must change it in the Phones Settings App ...
Which I believe in 10 it goes like,
Open the Settings App
. . Open Connections
. . Open Private DNS
. . Select: Private DNS provider hostename
If it's IPv4 enter: 1.1.1.1.cloudflare-dns.com
If it's IPv6 enter: 2001:4680:4860::8888
. . Select: Save
That is Googles public name server, it's fast and reliable.
