Try flashing it full of FF like an unprogrammed chip would be. Just a random guess, unlikely to work, but it might not crash it like data from other firmware versions might.

I bricked the original cluster after knocking the usb while SPS'ing, the USB port on my original CARDAQ M has broken off it's mount

Tazzi helped me out with his body software (thanks Taz ) which was the first time I've worked with it, fucken awesome gear! I managed to manipulate the guage and thought I was on the right track when I reversed the ohms, added fuel and no change
After a bit more research, it looks like possibly a VY fuel sender has been fitted... The tank is coming out again tomorrow and won't be going back in until the guage works.

Anyone got any ideas on unbricking the original cluster? I read the 24c04 chip, I flashed a bin from another cluster to it but no luck, still stuck on green screens and doesn't appear in any module presence checks, eg: can't SPS it because SPS can't see it same with Tazzi's tool.
If its failed mid write on an operating system update, then this would have left the processor in a bricked state (unfortunately).
I can't recall the exact processor number, but I recall the processors being a Fujitsu which can be read/written if wiring directly to it. Its been many years since I did this but I know it can be done.

I've tried that this morning Ant, no joy.

Hmmm, that's what I was worried about Tazzi.

To save time I'll get another cluster today and clone it, anyone know of a spread sheet that maps out all the data locations? I have been searching for over an hour.

This is from thge VZ Cluster mod tool http://1337vending.com/vzclustermod/ More so about data in the tables though, not where the tables are on the eeprom, which might be different between firmware versions too.

If the clusters RPM/Speedo layout is the same, you should be able to just clone the eeprom across. They are all the same on all VZs

Now, back to the start, program all the correct options and get the tank back out

Fuck this fucken car!!!

Right, tank out, measured sender again 38ohm = empty, 252ohm = full, 143ohm = half.

For shits and giggles I plugged in a brand new sender, exactly the same...

So I pulled out the trusty VDO guage checker set it to 30ohms and got this -

C7A7FFAC-3188-494A-870B-E73E78F6B8A1.jpeg
put it to 240ohms and got this -
9C0ABE39-E797-4CBA-B1B3-97EC4124A137.jpeg
C7A7FFAC-3188-494A-870B-E73E78F6B8A1.jpeg
So this leads me to believe that the PCM is the culprit here, like I showed in the first post it is reporting a high level no matter what. There is no SPS cal available for this car, what are my options moving forward?
