They go by many names, P01, P59, VPW, '0411 etc. Also covering E38 and newer here.

Try it, whats there to lose ... You might get lucky and that P05 OsID will be in the P04 puke soup of OsID's!

It will still fail for the security algorithm will be wrong ... But at least we will know the OsID of that P05.

FWIW, I also picked up a P05 from a 2005 Malibu Maxx while I was at the yard today. Is it worth even attempting to read with the current version of PCM Hammer?
Is this a V6 (LX9 3500?) or an I4 (Ecotec) car?

I plan to go the the JY on Saturday and grab a few PCMs.

Added the OSID as a P04 just to test, then used a script in Universal Patcher to find the key and tried it again, but it failed to load the loader.

Wow, I'm astonished it wasn't already part of the P04 puke soup, I guess we need to add the rest of the possible combinations of 8 digits so we can cover all possible cases ...

This was the OSID for my 2003 Grand Am.

12583339

That said, I have a bunch of bin files that were read using other hardware, I have no definitive way of knowing that they somehow haven't somehow been changed or verifying their accuracy, but I can compile a list of OSID's from them if you would like.

Well, I got the Aurora PCM to read. Here are the logs the Bin and what Universal Patcher reads. Universal Patcher reads the DTCs, the VE table and the MAF.
All I had to do was get my OBDX Pro VT out and hook it up and all was good.
