Made one works a treat. Bought from this distributor https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003 ... lbxMDZLwPU worked out at $8 with postage and GST.
The only difference is they no longer have what looks like a crystal in the bottom right of the pic.

Cool thanks. I've got 2 of those. I did try to mod one and it didn't work. But I had to mess around trying to get my bmw INPA software to work and could not get the cable to work for ages then seen the USB 2.0 port on the other side of the laptop and tried that and it worked straight away. So I'll have to try all this again using that port instead of the USB 3.0 and see if it helps at all
